For each female you will find the microchip, the ENCI studbook number, the genetic tests and the pedigree, to check for yourself, against the breed standard too. Our active breeding females, Bilquis and Croi Olc, are also clear for degenerative myelopathy (SOD1 gene).

Breeding females

How many litters, and how to check. Our females have two litters each on average. You do not have to take our word for it: under every name there is the microchip number, and with that the number of litters can be looked up in the ENCI stud book.

When a dog lives elsewhere, the owner's name is given under hers. Because this is the kind of thing that should always be verified, not simply told.

Our approach

Selection and care of our females

There are eight Staffordshire Bull Terrier females on this page: two active brood bitches, Bilquis and Croi Olc, three that no longer have litters and three that live elsewhere. Queen and Cattleya were born here and left as puppies: today Queen lives in Bologna and Cattleya in Rimini. Nora I gave as a gift to a very dear friend in Verona who had fallen in love with her. Each card gives the name of the person who has her today.

We choose them for health, breed type and a steady temperament. Every mating starts from the genetic tests and from how the two dogs' lines fit together.

Our females are tested for:
